Sarah Melton is an Accredited Practising Dietitian with extensive clinical experience in both hospital and community health settings in metropolitan Melbourne.
Sarah completed her Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics at Monash University and currently works as a senior clinical dietitian in a large tertiary public hospital. Through this appointment, she provides nutritional assessment and care to patients with a wide range of gastrointestinal diseases including inflammatory bowel disease, liver disease and those undergoing gastrointestinal surgery.
Sarah is currently undertaking a PhD at Monash University investigating the effects of Exclusive Enteral Nutrition in patients with Crohn’s disease. She has a keen interest in the role of diet in inflammatory bowel disease and enjoys contributing to research in this area. Sarah was awarded a publically funded grant in 2021 to undertake her research and is also the recipient of a Crohn's and Colitis Australia PhD scholarship.
Sarah is passionate about providing high-quality, evidence-based nutritional care to people living with inflammatory bowel disease, eosinophilic oesophagitis, coeliac disease and functional gut disorders
Sarah sees children, adolescents and adults at the Mind + Gut Clinic in St Kilda East, Victoria.
